Common mistakes this tool tries to avoid
- Submitting a G98 notification more than 28 days after commissioning, or a G99 application after installation has already started — G99 needs approval before you install, G98 needs notifying after.
- Quoting an inverter's DC or peak rating instead of its AC export rating when checking the G98/G99 threshold — the threshold is about what can be exported to the grid, not the panel array size.
- Leaving off equipment that shares the same phase — the threshold is based on combined capacity per phase, not any single item in isolation.
- Treating this tool's output as a verified or compliant submission — it's a DIY drafting aid, not a substitute for a qualified single-line diagram on a G99 application, or for an installer's signed declaration on a G98 Form B.

A G100 scheme caps actual export/import at the connection point; it doesn't automatically determine your G98/G99 registration tier — some DNOs size a connection against the agreed limit rather than the equipment's full rating, but that's their decision to confirm, not this tool's.
Where to send it. Many DNOs now accept G98 notifications through the ENA's shared Connect Direct portal; some still want their own form by email or post, and G99 applications are generally handled directly by your own DNO. Release notes and version history
Prompted by a follow-up question: "does the tool allow batteries and PV array to connect into one inverter (in the case of a hybrid one)?" It didn't — every equipment item was treated as having its own inverter, so a shared hybrid inverter's AC rating would get counted twice against the G98/G99 threshold. Added a "Shares an inverter with" option on each equipment item: pick another item that's already in your list, and its own inverter/manufacturer/model/AC-rating/Type-Test fields hide (they're inherited from the item it shares with) so there's nothing to fill in twice or get out of sync. The threshold check and the diagram both now treat shared items as one physical inverter — one AC rating counted once, one inverter/isolator box drawn once, fed by both source boxes. Also fixed a display bug reported directly: the G100 and land-ownership checkboxes were rendering as plain white boxes against the dark theme (missing color-scheme: dark, so the browser fell back to its light-mode default widget) — now styled consistently with the rest of the page.
